Conference at the International Building Exhibition (SIB 2024)

On November 21, 2024, an enriching conference took place at the International Building Exhibition (SIB 2024), held at the Exhibition Park Mohammed VI, in El Jadida. The event brought together professionals and enthusiasts from the building sector to discuss innovation and the latest advancements in concrete technology.

The conference began with a captivating presentation by Mr. Ahmed Mhanna, Director of the ACI (American Concrete Institute) for the Middle East, who provided a global overview of the ACI, its essential role in developing standards and practices in concrete, and its international initiatives.

The floor was then given to Ms. Houda Achiba and Ms. Ilham Bannouni, newly graduated civil engineering engineers,under the supervision of Mr.Mohammed Idrissi Hassani, who specifically presented the ACI Morocco Chapter.

They detailed the chapter's goals, missions, and activities, as well as the flagship project of translating the ACI 318-19 Code, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing, a strategic project aimed at aligning Moroccan practices with international standards.

This conference marked an important step in promoting best practices and sustainability in the building sector in Morocco, strengthening ties between market players and paving the way for new collaborations for the future.
